Job Chapter 10 ESV

Embittered by his sufferings Job taketh more liberty in expostulating with God. 18He repineth at having been brought into being, and prayeth for a little respite from pain before his death.
“I 1loathe my life; I will give free utterance to my 2complaint; I will speak in 3the bitterness of my soul.
I will say to God, Do not 1condemn me; let me know why you 2contend against me.
1Does it seem good to you to oppress, to despise 2the work of your hands 3and favor the designs of the wicked?
Have you 1eyes of flesh? 2Do you see as man sees?
Are your days as the days of man, or your 1years as a man's years,
that you 1seek out my iniquity and search for my sin,
although you 1know that I am not guilty, and there is 2none to deliver out of your hand?
1Your hands fashioned and made me, and now you have destroyed me altogether.
Remember that you have made me like 1clay; and will you return me to the 2dust?
Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese?
You clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews.
You have granted me life and steadfast love, and your care has preserved my spirit.
Yet these things you hid in your heart; I know that 1this was your purpose.
If I sin, you 1watch me and do not 2acquit me of my iniquity.
1If I am guilty, woe to me! If I am 2in the right, I cannot lift up my head, for I am filled with disgrace and 3look on my affliction.
And were my head lifted up,a you would hunt me like 1a lion and again work 2wonders against me.
You renew your 1witnesses against me and increase your vexation toward me; you 2bring fresh troops against me.
1“Why did you bring me out from the womb? Would that I had died before any eye had seen me
1and were as though I had not been, carried from the womb to the grave.
1Are not my days few? 2Then cease, and leave me alone, 3that I may find a little cheer
before I go—and 1I shall not return— to the land of 2darkness and 3deep shadow,
the land of gloom like thick darkness, like deep shadow without any order, where light is as thick darkness.”
