Psalms 28

Psalm 28 KJV

1David prayeth earnestly for God's help against the wicked: 6he blesseth God for his gracious succour: 9he prayeth for the people.
a Psalm of David.
1 Unto thee 1will I cry, O Lord 2my rock; 3be not silent ato me: 4lest, if thou be silent to me, 5I become like 6them that go down into the pit.
2 Hear 1the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I 2lift up my hands atoward thy holy oracle.
3 1Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, 2which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
4 Give 1them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.
5 Because 1they regard not the works of the Lord, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
6 1Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
7 The 1Lord is my strength and my 2shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
8 The Lord is atheir strength, and he is the bsaving strength of his 1anointed.
9 Save 1thy people, and bless 2thine inheritance: afeed them also, and lift them up for ever.
