Psalms 95

Psalm 95 ESV

An exhortation to praise God for his greatness, 6and for creating and preserving us: 8and not to tempt him as did Israel in the wilderness.
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us 1make a joyful noise to 2the rock of our salvation!
Let us 1come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us 2make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
For the Lord is 1a great God, and a great King 2above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also.
The sea is his, for 1he made it, and his hands formed 2the dry land.
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us 1kneel before the Lord, our 2Maker!
For he is our 1God, and we are the people of his 2pasture, and the sheep of his hand. 3Today, if you 4hear his voice,
1do not harden your hearts, as at 2Meribah, as on the day at 3Massah in the wilderness,
when your fathers put me to the 1test and put me to the proof, though they had seen my 2work.
1For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known 2my ways.”
Therefore I 1swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter 2my rest.”
