Psalm 9 ESV

David praiseth God for executing judgment on his enemies, and saving the godly: 11he inciteth others to praise him: 13and prayeth that he may have like cause to praise him for his aid in some present distress.
a To the choirmaster: according to Muth-labben.b A Psalm of David.
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your 1wonderful deeds.
I will be glad and 1exult in you; I will 2sing praise to your name, 3O Most High.
When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish beforea your presence.
For you have 1maintained my just cause; you have 2sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment.
You have 1rebuked the nations; you have made the wicked perish; you have 2blotted out their name forever and ever.
The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins; their cities you rooted out; the very memory of them has perished.
But the Lord sits enthroned forever; he has established his throne for justice,
and he 1judges the world with righteousness; he 2judges the peoples with uprightness.
The Lord is 1a stronghold for 2the oppressed, a stronghold in 3times of trouble.
And those who 1know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Sing praises to the Lord, who 1sits enthroned in Zion! Tell among the peoples his 2deeds!
For he who 1avenges blood is mindful of them; he 2does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
1Be gracious to me, O Lord! See my affliction from those who hate me, O you who lift me up from 2the gates of death,
that I may recount all your praises, that in the gates of 1the daughter of Zion I may 2rejoice in your salvation.
The nations have sunk in 1the pit that they made; in 2the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught.
The Lord has made himself 1known; he has executed judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. Higgaion.a Selah
The wicked shall 1return to Sheol, all the nations that 2forget God.
For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and 1the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.
1Arise, O Lord! Let not 2man prevail; let the nations be judged before you!
Put them in fear, O Lord! Let the nations know that they are but 1men! Selah
