Psalms 111

Psalm 111 ESV

The Psalmist by his example inciteth others to praise God for his glorious and gracious works. 10The fear of God is the source of true wisdom.
a 1Praise the Lord! I 2will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of 3the upright, in the congregation.
Great are the 1works of the Lord, 2studied by all who delight in them.
1Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his 2righteousness endures forever.
He has 1caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful.
He provides food for those who fear him; he 1remembers his covenant forever.
He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations.
The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are 1trustworthy;
they are 1established forever and ever, to be performed with 2faithfulness and uprightness.
He sent 1redemption to his people; he has 2commanded his covenant forever. 3Holy and awesome is his name!
1The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have 2a good understanding. His 3praise endures forever!
