Psalms 23

Psalm 23 ESV

David's confidence in God's providential care and goodness.
A Psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my 1shepherd; I shall not 2want.
2 He makes me lie down in green 1pastures. He leads me beside still waters.a
3 He 1restores my soul. He 2leads me in 3paths of righteousnessa for his 4name's sake.
4 Even though I 1walk through the valley of 2the shadow of death,a I will 3fear no evil, for 4you are with me; your 5rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You 1prepare a table before me in 2the presence of my enemies; you 3anoint my head with oil; my 4cup overflows.
6 Surelya goodness and mercyb shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall 1dwellc in the house of the Lord 2forever.d
