Psalms 76

Psalm 76 ESV

God's majesty set forth in his notable defence of the church: 11an exhortation to serve him reverently.
To the choirmaster: with 1stringed instruments. A Psalm of 2Asaph. A Song.
In Judah God is 1known; his name is great in Israel.
His 1abode has been established in 2Salem, his 3dwelling place in Zion.
There he 1broke the flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah
Glorious are you, more majestic 1than the mountains full of 2prey.
1The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil; 2they sank into sleep; all the men of war were unable to use their hands.
At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both 1rider and horse lay stunned.
1But you, you are to be feared! Who can 2stand before you when once your anger is roused?
From the heavens you uttered judgment; 1the earth feared and was still,
when God 1arose to establish judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. Selah
Surely 1the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnanta of wrath you will put on like a belt.
1Make your vows to the Lord your God and perform them; let all around him 2bring gifts to him who 3is to be feared,
who 1cuts off the spirit of princes, who 2is to be feared by the kings of the earth.
