Psalms 77

Psalm 77 ESV

The Psalmist sheweth what fierce combat he had with diffidence. 10The victory which he had gained by considering God's great and gracious works.
To the choirmaster: according to 1Jeduthun. A Psalm of 2Asaph.
I 1cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me.
1In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in 2the night my 3hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul 4refuses to be comforted.
When I remember God, I 1moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints. Selah
You hold my eyelids open; I am so 1troubled that I cannot speak.
I consider 1the days of old, the years long ago.
I said,a “Let me remember my 1song in the night; let me 2meditate in my heart.” Then my spirit made a diligent search:
“Will the Lord 1spurn forever, and never again 2be favorable?
Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his 1promises at an end for all time?
1Has God forgotten to be gracious? 2Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah
Then I said, “I will appeal to this, to the years of the 1right hand of the Most High.”a
I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will 1remember your wonders of old.
I will ponder all your 1work, and meditate on your 2mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is 1holy. 2What god is great like our God?
You are the God who 1works wonders; you have 2made known your might among the peoples.
You 1with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
When 1the waters saw you, O God, when the waters saw you, they were afraid; indeed, the deep trembled.
The clouds poured out water; the skies 1gave forth thunder; your 2arrows flashed on every side.
1The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind; 2your lightnings lighted up the world; the earth 3trembled and shook.
Your 1way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints 2were unseen.a
You 1led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
